Stone culture undergoes a process of detachment. It slowly and carefully separates itself from the large mass of an amorphous raw block. The sculptor "helps" it in this process and, in turn, is offered solutions in the course of this process. As the small stone particles fall off and splinter away from the chisel tip, the ballast and legacy also fall away from the sculptor. A symbiosis becomes comprehensible.
